793 birds have been entered into the 2024 NRCC’s Kings Cup Race to Lerwick, getting us safely over to the island is our sponsor Northlink Ferries. The transporter left on Wednesday stopping off at Ecclefechen to feed and water the birds continuing yesterday up to the port at Aberdeen arriving at 11:30 hrs. Once checked in the birds were given water and later in the afternoon fed and rested before boarding the ferry where they travelled with convoying team Merv and Darren overnight on MV Hrossey and docked this morning at 07:30. The weather at that time was mild but overcast. The team will now travel to the liberation site and the birds will be given water and rest and then be fed around 15:00
